Sydney Rayne, Graphic Designer

Sydney Rayne is a print-design aficionado in a digital designers’ world.

A native of San Antonio, Sydney was a kid who blossomed in creative pursuits: she danced ballet, jazz and tap [her favorite] from toddlerhood to college; she played the piano as a child, and the marimba in high school and college; and she always enjoyed drawing and painting.

Sydney left Texas for New Mexico and the Santa Fe University of Art and Design, where she earned her BFA in Graphic Design [Magna Cum Laude] in just three years through an accelerated degree program. While working as a monitor and assistant in SFUAD’s Graphic Design Department printing lab, Sydney discovered a passion for print and publication design. In 2017, she was selected as one of the international Society of Typographic Art’s Top 100 for her stunning five-volume “Shakespeare in Color” thesis project.

With experience as a public-relations intern at SITE Santa Fe – a contemporary art museum – and as an art intern at Austin Monthly magazine, Sydney makes her paid-professional debut at Brandon Miller Group. Today, she applies her special blend of creativity, boldness, restraint, style and quirkiness to a vast array of design products – from branding elements and marketing collateral to client-friendly floor plans and site maps. All beautiful, all purposeful, all spot-on.

Sydney is loving life a la Austin, riding her bike around Lady Bird Lake and visiting dog parks to gush over the pups. She enjoys reading mysteries and listening to true-crime podcasts, occasionally paints abstracts, and is always searching for her next creative quest.
